Product Name: | HART 2-Pack 9-inch Torpedo Level, Magnetic Edge Top-Read Window |
Product Description: | If you want to get something straight, HART’s 2-pack 9” Torpedo Level is the way to go. Ideal for small and easy measurements, the torpedo is handy for leveling pictures and determining the slope of pipes and leveling over short distances. As the name implies, a torpedo level is tapered, or torpedo-shaped, making it ideal when working in tight spaces. Its compact size fits nicely in a tool belt and junk drawer. The magnetic edge allows for hands-free leveling and a top-read window is easier to read from a variety of angles. Typically, the more angles, the better as it makes the tool more versatile and can be used for a broader range of projects. It also has a V-groove edge that fits onto pipe and conduit. Includes (2) torpedo levels covered by a limited lifetime warranty. |

I went to a store and compared level to level and there was significant variation from one to another. Just a word of caution if you're getting a level to see if something is actually level (:

You could always return it lol. Just put it on any known straight surface or even on another level.

Helen Roper found him useless around the house.
I mean, yeah... I'm just saying the likelihood of return is very high from my experience - and, in my opinion, not worth the hassle.
I could be wrong, but I think the best way to check a level is accurate is to put it on a surface, memorize the bubble position, then flip it. The bubble should be in the exact same position. If it's not that indicates it's warped, and that's the only thing you are concerned about. The bubble and gravity don't change. Double check YouTube though.
If anyone is near Menards, you can pick up their brand for $1.11 each. If you use the rebates it's $1 each. https://www.menards.com/main/p-27...204602.htm
I already had one from years back, but I grabbed a couple more at this price for convenience.
