$560 seems high for a deal price. It goes on sale quite often around $519. Prior to Covid inflation, it went on sale below $500 regularly.

Is this Breville or the De'Longhi Magnifica Evo Automatic better? Cost is about the same, $550 ish...

I recommend 'Pro' version if you want the temperature control (yes, it make subtle difference in taste)

Something wrong with Costco purchases , you take it back. Can you take it back to Amazon?

7 years assuming 2.5% inflation would move a price of $460 to $550.

So that tracks as a price for 7 years ago.

True enough, although it's also now an older product. Unless Breville is making updates to the machine, I wouldn't have expected the price to increase with inflation. I guess even for a 10 year old machine, sales continue to be good enough for them to do so.

The Bambino Plus deal for $399 is a better option overall if you're looking for a better steam experience and efficient morning routine. You will need to also get an espresso grinder though, as one is not included.

Those two things together will exceed the price of this but you're likely to have a better experience overall. You're also not putting all your coffee functions in one place. It sounds convenient until something stops working or degrades (perhaps by poor cleaning and descaling routine or simply by age and use over time)

Got it at an inflation buster price of $452+tax via Target Circle offer and Red card discount back in November 2023.

I believe the express has temp control through the programming mode. It's a little easier to adjust on the screen on the pro though.

Ssshhhhh .. that's a secret ...

Although I would expect some products to actually go down as China getting hit by deflation and low demand for products .. us energy and housing inflation is what seems to be the big ones.
